Important Information & Dates

Welcome Parents/Guardians of Grade 4B. Throughout the school year I will using my website to communicate important dates or information to you, so please check this website frequently to ensure that you receive the important information regarding what is happening in the classroom and school.

I will be using your child's agenda book as well as my classroom website as my main form of communication with you. Please ensure that you are reading your child's agenda message every night and signing it to indicate to me that it has been read.

If you have any information or questions that you would like to share with me or the office staff, please write a note in your child's agenda in the respective date slot. For example, if your child will be absent from school or will be leaving early, please write a note in your child's agenda to let myself and the office staff know.

SJB Cell Phone Policy

Cell phone usage is not permitted during school hours for the safety of your child. If your child has a cell phone, please remind them to turn it off and hand it into their homeroom teacher as part of the morning registration routine. The school DOES NOT accept responsibility in the event of loss of theft. Telephones are available throughout the school and if necessary your child has access to them. In the event of an emergency you will be contacted directly from the school office.

Bicycles/Scooters/Skateboards

Students are asked to walk their bicycles on the sidewalk and playground area for safety reasons. Bicycles are to be secured in the bicycle rack using a durable bicycle lock. Students are able to use their bicycles, scooters or skateboards as transportation to and from school only. They are not allowed to ride at recess or lunch times. The bicycle racks are out of bounds to all students as a play area.  It is recommended that scooters and skateboards are secured with the students’ other personal belongings.
